Brian, Morocco,
I have the same experience. However I don't feel freemasonary is the way. Maryland #37 mentioned melchizedek (not d.Melchizedek) the number being 888...
I have found synch.s too driving me crazy as I am the only one I know that cares to research. There is a force external of some kind...communicating...encouraging. There is something to this I know that completely. Could we share emails and continue talk:

You don't have to convince me that the Universe is an orderly place. I had an overload of synchronicity last week. It doesn't mean that is personal or political. Just that all is One.

As for the Freemasons, I would have joined them had I been born with a penis. Instead, I studied Sufism. I wrote about that research at http://www.lovehateflow.com/2010/01/18/research-on-the-sufi-way/. It’s a dense subject and the article could use a re-write. What I learned in short is that Sufism existed before the Prophet Mohammad, although he was also a Sufi, said to be the first Sufi. Islam, like all religions based on written doctrine, has a political aspect to it because the act of writing anything about history is political. But there is a tradition of belief that is rooted in experience and transmitted through art. In this tradition, the Artisan (or Creator) is used as a metaphor for God. And believers are apprentices of sorts. You find these metaphors of Artisan/Apprentices in Sufism, in Pythagorean teachings, in Freemasons practices, and Zoroastrianism. But if you analyze the texts too closely, you devolve into politics. Better to look a zellige. The first time I saw a zellige installation I was sure I was reading the story of the Universe. How could that be put to words?

As for 2012, I’m pretty sure all time is happening right now and certainly sure that now is where my power is. I don’t put my faith in a calendar date. But certainly it seems more people are awakening. Maybe December 21, 2012 will be the day we have a coming out parade. Because what we’ve been taught about ourselves, what we’ve been taught to believe we are is a lie. And that is why waking up feels like insanity.

I stumbled on a psychic’s website yesterday. He wrote this about 2012:

“I psychicly checked out the Mayan Calender and this is what I got from focusing in on a picture of the Mayan Calender. It is the date the Mayans were waiting on to be reunited spiritually with the gods and the ones who were sacrificed in order to appease the gods. They believed they would survive as a race to that date and be reunited with the gods and all those that have passed on to the other side. On December 21 to 24 , 2012 there will be no major earthly or spiritual changes. It was a belief they had.”

You can read more about him at http://childsearchpsychic.tripod.com/mypsychicautobiographybyrobertlindblad/.

Now, if you tell me your birthday is on the 13th, then I’ll really freak out :-)

The eight-point star and “odd synchronicity”. That young lady is what this is all about. It’s why I was on your page. Remember I told you about the “11:11 Coincidence”. What is “odd synchronicity” but “odd coincidence”?

What is “Coincidence” though? By definition it is 1.) a chance occurrence of events remarkable either for being simultaneous or for apparently being connected 2.) the fact, condition, or state of coinciding. What the definition points out is that Coincidence is “fact”. Either something is or is not a coincidence. What it does not point out is that we, as individuals, make the determination of what we believe is or is not Coincidence. In most cases we attempt to make this determination based on as many “facts” as possible in order to see the “connections” and make a “factual” determination. What it also does not clearly point out is that it requires two or more “events” to determine if coincidence exists. Thousands or even millions of events make up what we define as “Chaos”. To draw links within Chaos is to bring about Ordo Ab Chao (Order Out Of Chaos), the creed of the Freemasons.

As you know, the eight point star is found across many religions. Is it coincidence then that "Masonry does not specify any God of any creed; she requires merely that you believe in some Deity, give him what name you will ... any god will do ..." Albert Pike, former Supreme Pontiff of Universal Freemasonry, likewise exults: "Masonry [is that religion] around whose altars the Christian, the Hebrew, the Moslem, the Brahman [Hindu], the followers of Confucius and Zoroaster, can assemble as brethren and unite in prayer..."

Furthermore, is it coincidence that I see 11:11?

Is it coincidence that as many as a million other people from all walks of life have been estimated to see the same thing?

Is it coincidence that out of 708 possible times in the day, 11:11 UTM marks the end of the Mayan Calendar?

Is it coincidence that the symbol that has consumed me for so long is the primary symbol found in the picture within the Unconfirmed Lost Book of Nostradamus that is used to support theories of the end of the Mayan Calendar?

Is it coincidence that just outside Nostradamus’ back door is the Eglise St. Michel-de-Apocaylpse (St. Michael of the Apocalypse) and on its arched tympanum we find St. Michel posing as Ophiucus, the serpent holding esoteric 13th sign of the zodiac marking the center of the galaxy, the place of the alignment at the end of the Mayan Calendar?

Better even yet I would wonder if it coincidence that you, a person apparently searching for some greater meaning and discussing “part of the path”, decided to post such an in depth article about a symbol referred to as “The Path to Enlightenment”.

I would also stop to wonder if it is coincidence that you and I would have this symbol in common and so many “odd synchronicities” (odd coincidences).

By the way, my birthday is next month also. Happy early birthday.

By the way Brian of Brandon, I'm a professionl myself and will be turning 36 next month. I am just completing a year of doubting my own sanity; seems to be part of the path. Cheers to you for making it through yours! I think its an odd syncronicity that the rough outlines of your story match the same as my own. Just further proof we are not alone or crazy. Staying grounded is important.

MoroccanDesign - You're right that you sound like a crazy hippy. Unfortunately, as a 36 year old business professional I would consider myself about as well grounded as they get and, yet, I've considered over the last year I might be crazy myself. The truth is that my journey has led me to think exactly as you do. I’ve also realized that nearly every person thinks this way but doesn't necessarily think deeply enough to realize it the way some of us do. Although I’ve never practiced a particular faith, I’ve realized that every time someone prays to God and asks for something, they ask for God to interact with them, the people around them, and the Universe in general. By asking, they are admitting believing that something is listening.

I do think the historical quest is interesting. I did a lot of research to write this article. Ultimately I experienced a mystical journey of my own. And all the answers about what we are and what power is are within us is there - in the soul. The aliens may or may not be. 2012 may or may not be. But we are now. I don't know if we will ever be able to prove it, but all time is happening at once.

Brian of Brandon - the number symbolism you are seeing...I had and continue to have tons of experiences like that and more. I don't let it freak me out any longer. Because the truth is that we talk to the Universe and the Universe talks back. We are One. Are there dark overlords? Maybe, but you won't find the light by chasing them.

I seriously sound like a crazy hippy. That's OK. If you want to read more about my personal experiences, I started another blog called lovehateflow.com when I started my awakening. These days, I feel like a crab without a shell. But, I am so grateful and a bit sad that people don't understand how very powerful and cared for they are. Not by aliens, but by God.

Be the light.

Latiana, I wrote the Dr. in April and apparently "the Dr was not in the house" because he didn't reply. I explained to him that I had been "consumed" by this symbol for several months, it had started soon after I found I was not alone in the 11:11 Coincidence (Time Prompt Phenomenon), and I was trying to find out why. I am confident the Dr was referring to Ancient Summarian Mythology which holds some controversy. Specifically, a man by the name of Zecharia Sitchin who believes some of the text translate into saying the winged beings from Summaria were "The Fallen" and a carving from 7,000 B.C. that contained one to many plantets and represents an alien passing a plow, and agricultural wisdom, to humanity. If you have not seen it already, check out the New York Times article written about him in January of this year for a place to start. http://www.nytimes.com/2010/01/10/nyregion/10alone.html You'll find more comprehensive information on Wikipedia. As for my views, I think there is definately something to be discovered about the Seal of the Prophets. Interestingly, I found out just today that Mohammed is referred to as the "Seal of the Prophets" because he was considered to be the last. As one last note, the Dr's email contained 2012 in it. This may be a good indicator he's looking into the same symbol being in "The Unconfirmed Lost Book of Nostrodamus" which this history channel ran a special on due to it's link to the end of the Mayan Calendar.

The cross(four pointed star), the shield of David (six pointed star), the seal of Solomon (eight pointed star), are all even numbers(earth numbers), the 'crux' of the question is the central point; that adds one to all these stars, and the number gets odd (the heavenly numbers), this is detailed in chinese numerology and in Pitagorean as well.
The Eight represents in gnosticism, and other esoteric traditions the transcendence of the tyrannical rule of the planets(or lesser gods), that only go up to the seventh sphere(saturn), and is the sphere of the stars.
